Many of our pupils will have an individualised learning journey which will not always lead to accreditation which can be measured in the same manner of mainstream schools. Also, our small cohort class sizes mean that academic statistics can be unrepresentative and unreliable.
However, progress is carefully and regularly monitored, and pupils and students are set aspirational targets, both in terms of academic achievement and personal development.
In KS4, pupils undertake accredited courses in Open Awards Functional Skills English, Maths and IT User Skills as well as OCR Geography, PE and Science.
KS5 students undertake accredited courses in Open Awards Functional Skills English, Maths and IT User Skills as well as having the options to be achieve accreditation in Drama, Employability, Enterprise, Catering, Construction and Animal Care.
