Many of our pupils will have an individualised learning journey which will not always lead to academic achievement which can be measured in the manner of mainstream schools. Also, our small cohort class sizes mean that academic statistics can be unrespresentative and unreliable.
However, progress is carefully and regularly monitored, and pupils and students are set aspirational targets, both in terms of academic achivement and personal development.
There is no external examination for KS2 or KS4 pupils as our young people fall below the expected national standard.
In KS4, pupils undertake accredited courses in OCR Functional Skills English and Maths.
KS5 students undertake accredited courses for functional skills in English, Maths, Personal Progress and ICT at Entry Level, ASDAN
