This week, pupils can be seen making their own tea (yummy Pizza).

Some of the students made a 'Nature Frame'. After foraging for natural materials, they made a frame from sticks, attached some wool and wove the materials through. We all agreed this was a challenge, though the scent of the foliage and the lovely end product made the activity worthwhile.

Other activities this week have included: playing chess, making pancakes, working on the Tardis and making loom bands.

The photographs are a snapshot of Close the Door, a semi-improvised performance, including some of the Welburn Hall college students.

The Production of Close The Door will take place at the Stephen Joseph Theatre in the Round in Scarborough on Sunday, 7th February.  Nine of Welburn College Students have been attending rehearsals and the story is fascinating, based on the life and times of Louise, a student who desperately wants to be given a role in a play.  However things do not go to plan and the whole ethos of the play is surrounding doors opening and closing for Louise.

Sarah and Emily both play the part of Louise, skilfully mirroring each other and Lewis tunefully sings a solo.

The whole of Fuse, North Yorkshire, will be taking part in the congregation and there are seven different groups performing their own unique plays.  They are to start the performances at 12.30 and our students are very excited at the prospect.  We wish them well.

On Wednesday the students played ball games and chose their own music in the hall. After, they made their own supper.

Next week we are making 'Nature Art Frames' from natural materials around the grounds.

Please find photos of what we did last week, including making fruit animals, blowing magic plastic balloons and Bethany's birthday disco in the hall. Two groups visited the panto in Malton to see a fellow boarder take part.
