Class Teacher Vacancy

Posted 6/10/2017

Dear applicant

Thank you for your interest in the post of Class Teacher at Welburn Hall School. My name is Marianne Best and I have had the privilege of being Head Teacher of this school since January 2016.

The successful applicant will be joining us at a very exciting time of change and improvement. We are developing our expertise in many areas including autism and SEMH. Welburn Hall is a designated ‘generic’ special school, serving the Ryedale District of North Yorkshire however, our pupils come from many other areas as well.

We are looking for a skilled practitioner, who is dedicated to raising standards and passionate about achievement for all. We anticipate the new teacher being placed predominantly in our College. Regardless of barriers, we want our new teacher to stretch our children and young people to the absolute limit of their potential. This will entail planning and preparing to meet individual needs, with differentiation and formative assessment key features of every lesson.

In return we can offer you a stunningly beautiful school set in 20 acres of beautiful, landscaped gardens and countryside and wonderful children and young people. We have a supportive Senior Leadership Team who look forward to working with you to develop Welburn Hall. We have excellent relationships with all the special schools in North Yorkshire, which you can exploit for your own development. Whether you are beginning your teaching career, or you have some experience already, we welcome your application and encourage you to visit if you can.

Good luck and I look forward to hearing from you!

Mrs Marianne Best
