Just a quick up date from us here at school to remind all staff, parents & carers.

Should school be close for any reason – Firstly everyone will receive a text message from T2P.

After that school contact the local radio stations, NYCC & transport advising of the closure.

Invaders Day

THIS WEEK, THE WHOLE SCHOOL ENJOYED AN EXCITING 'INVADERS DAY'. WE EXPERIENCED A VIKING CAMP AND DRESSED AS NORSE PILLAGERS.  WE ALSO BECAME ROMAN SOLDIERS, MARCHING, WRESTLING AND FIGHTING USING THE METHODS OF OLD - OUR SOLDIERS WERE LED BY THE MAJESTIC STANDARDS WE DESIGNED. FINALLY, WE RE-ENACTED A ROMAN BANQUET COMPLETE WITH ELABORATE BANQUETING HALL AND AUTHENTIC DISHES FROM OVER 2000 YEARS AGO. WE HAD ENORMOUS FUN AND LEARNT A GREAT DEAL.

Today College recognised Star Wars Day

 

 

Mrs Storey dressed as Princess Leia and delivered lessons to the Rebellion. 

The Star Wars Saga Movies are favourites of the College film club.

KS4 Rugby Club - Scarborough

On Wednesday the 21st of February, all of KS4 went to the rugby club in Scarborough to take part in the Special School Sports Partnership Panathlon. 

The students took part in a range of activities such as Boccia, Kurling, Table Cricket, Long Jump, Javelin , Polybat and a Wheelchair Slalom.

All of the students tried really hard and represented the school well.

At the end of the day, the scores were added up and it was announced that Welburn Hall came FIRST!!

All of the students were incredibly happy and they all received a gold medal. 

WELL DONE KEY STAGE 4!!

Christmas Lunch at the Feathers Hotel in Helmsley

Rugby Tournament

The annual inter-schools tag rugby tournament took place at Heworth ARLFC.  Welburn Hall were champions two years ago but the competition has grown and now includes PRS schools like the Rubicon from Selby and Danesgate from York.

 We were greeted by fine weather and free coaching from York Knights and PE students from York St John College.
