SUMMER TERM 2018

Posted 22/5/2018

Well, we've certainly been blessed with beautiful weather recently and of course, Welburn Hall looks stunning! It's the time of year when our leavers are beginning to contemplate life outside school and our school year is coming to an end. I wanted to take the opportunity to thank all teachers and teaching assistants involved in recent exams and accreditation. There is still some left to complete but the effort and teamwork of all involved has been inspirational. We've had Year 6 SATS, Year 11 and all of College involved in accreditation in various subjects. In line with our values of excellence and perseverance, our staff and students have pushed themselves to the limit to achieve the best they can and I am so proud of them!

This term we have several exciting and happy events to look forward to, such as the Garden Party on 7th July, the summer concerts and the Class residential trips. Such a huge amount of work goes into the planning and delivery of these events and as always we can't do it without the support of our parents and volunteers so thank you in advance! Please take a look at the Key Events page or ask our Business Support Team for more information if you want to become involved in helping out. At a time of savage cuts to our budget, we need as much support as possible to keep providing our personalised curriculum.

We have plans to restructure the staffing, upgrade some of the learning spaces, create a specialist support hub and develop our onsite provision such as the farm. I will write more about this before the summer. Let's hope the sun keeps shining between now and then!
